Chapter 12

 On the Edge

(2008-2010)

     Few days later, Dhanvi and kids that were with her went to visit Marcel in prison. He said them quietly that they have to pack and leave town for their own safety. He left them money in the basement. Tamara was very disappointed but she got an idea. She told mom that she got to know grandpa's cousins and that they could help them to hide. Dhanvi wasn't very into it, but wanted to give it a try. 

Esther was happy to not being alone, because Gary and Dakota moved away after wedding,

Georgina cured herself, but her body couldn't adapt and she died.

Also Fisher and Evelyn died and all of their pets were taken by animal control. 

When Dhanvi and kids unpacked the last staff it was a day before triplets birthday. James and Jacob celebrated at boarding schools, but Dhanvi forgot to celebrate Tamara's birthday because of all that was happening.

     Tamara and John still went to school, Dhanvi and Genevieve didn't go out at all. Tamara's project stagnated and her mother banned her to go to Gupta's family. Esther let them whole house, they played dominoes or piano. 

When Genevieve was 4 years old, Esther teached her to play on xylophone, she took care of them like their grandma. 

Marcel was allowed to have visits for good behavior, but only Dhanvi was there. She went there once in a month. 

  One day she returned crying that they could let Marcel free but they had to pay 1 milion Simoleons. The court finally revealed why Marcel was arrested. He smuggled relics from Egypt, that's why he took kids there to vacation. He sold one very precious relic to someone in Sunset Valley but he didn't want to tell to whom. There were some suspects but the police hadn't evidence yet.

     One day Tamara was reading books in Esther's library when she discovered a secret door. She took some dusty old book and something clicked. The bookshelf moved. 

There was a staircase, down was a workbench and locked door, but upstairs, there were really strange things.

There were a book about elixirs, cauldron and something that looked like a magic wand. Maybe old Esther was kinda insane. Tamara looked at pile of books and discovered a diary. It was a diary of her great great grandpa Conrad. She started to read but it was written in old simlish.

At the end was a few lists written differently, there was a signature of Emil Donner, he probably inherited it, since Daniel wasn't a writer type. He wrote there his story. Tamara didn't say anything to anyone about what she found. On Snowflake day Dhanvi said that Esther invited us to a dinner, that she had a gift for us. Esther prepared a dinner and when serving a dessert she stand up and spoke to Dhanvi. 

Tamara almost choked on that pie, when Esther finished. Dhanvi was terrified and John didn't understand yet. She said that she will pay Marcel's bail, but only if Tamara and Genevieve stay with her so she could raise us as her own. That was her gift? Buy them? Tamara didn't understand. Dhanvi took Genevieve and walked upstairs. John continued eating dessert and Tamara staired to the fireplace. Esther sat and peacefully was eating her pie.

The spring came and Dhanvi thought that the old lady was a little crazy. But after Genevieve's 5th birthday Dhanvi realised that she is pregnant and Esther's proposition seemed better. Esther even arranged Marcel's visit for celebration so they believed her that she can do it.

   

Tamara still couldn't believe that mom really considered it. 

She was working on her family project, she had enough information, but in Conrad's diary was mentioned that Andrea, his grandmother, was a witch. Tamara thought that it was metaphorical, but then she remembered a wand and elixir book in the secret room upstairs. She realised that if she stays here, she could be searching and she could keep an eye on Genevieve and they will be a happy family again.
